Who we are
Westland Milk Products is an internationally recognised dairy company producing a wide range of dairy ingredients and finished products for local and international markets. Our talented pool of over 600 employees across our Hokitika, Rolleston and Christchurch sites, along with our dedicated farmer suppliers, provide quality products and surety of supply to our customers.
Exporting to more than 50 countries globally, Westland processes more than 735 million litres of milk from more than 400 farms a year to produce a range of products from infant nutrition to proteins, from foodservice and consumer goods to commodities, our range enables customers to nourish lives through products we have made beautifully for generations.
Westland Milk Products is steeped in New Zealand’s strong dairying traditions and those of the beautiful, rugged and remote West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island.
For more than 150 years, successive generations of dairy farmers have worked with the region’s rich natural assets to produce dairy products of outstanding international quality.

Owned by the Global Top 5 dairy company Yili Group, Westland Milk Products and its related companies in New Zealand – Oceania Dairy (Glenavy), Pure Nutrition Ltd (Rolleston), Canary Foods (Hamilton) and EasiYo (Auckland) – form a group that we refer to as the Yili Oceania Business Division (YOBD). The combined business produces and over 170,000mt of finished goods which drive annual revenue well in excess of $1.3B – and growing.
