The Property Group

Kick-start your career in property
The Property Group Limited (TPG) is a locally owned property and RMA planning consultancy, bringing Kiwis together to build Aotearoa New Zealand for over two decades.

We are inherently Kiwi. Our highly skilled team of 170 right across New Zealand bring unique knowledge in a local context and a trusted, independent point of view. TPG is at the forefront of embracing change, driving progress, and helping to shape our communities of tomorrow. We are building a stronger New Zealand, together.

About our work

TTPG advises on delivering the critical roads, rail and bridges that connect us, the spaces and buildings where our vibrant communities live, and the essential public facilities we rely on.

What do our graduates do? Well, lots of things! But to put it simply, every infrastructure project has a property component, spanning initial preliminary work (including urban design, feasibility, due diligence, and strategy) through to operational tasks (property acquisition / disposal, Resource Management Act (RMA) consenting and development management) and finally completion matters (legal services and actions). We do all this and much more.

Our Graduate Development Programme

Our graduate development philosophy is built around great relationships and collaboration – we have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share, and we are excited about the fresh ideas and perspectives our graduates bring too. Our two-year programme provides our graduates with a breadth of exposure to our business and develops well rounded consultants who can progress their career with us.

We have graduate opportunities available in property, planning and GIS across our nationwide team. The number of roles and the locations change each year so keep an eye out for when the programme opens annually to learn more.

Working at TPG

We offer a competitive remuneration package, health insurance after one year and learning and development opportunities. We have a fun and social work culture, including our annual event where we bring the whole company together to celebrate. We believe in the importance of supporting the community around us and we partner with the New Zealand charity KidsCan.
